KAMPALA, UGANDA – Dr. Tendo Ronex Kisembo, a Ugandan medical professional and aspirant for the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA), has publicly congratulated President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni following his recent inauguration.
In a statement shared on his social media platforms, Dr. Kisembo addressed the President as “Mr. President & our Chair” of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) and as NRM supporter, acknowledging Museveni’s role at the helm of the East African Community.
“Congratulations Mr. President & our Chairman NRM . Wishing you a great inauguration,” Kisembo wrote.
The EALA aspirant concluded his message with a biblical quote from Isaiah 60:22, attributed to “the Lord”:
“I will make it happen, not as you expect, but better than you imagined. Trust My timing.”
Dr. Kisembo is among several NRM-leaning figures eyeing Uganda’s slots at the East African Legislative Assembly in Arusha, a position that requires party and parliamentary approval. By publicly aligning himself with the President and the NRM chairmanship, he reinforces his loyalty to the ruling establishment while quietly reminding supporters of his own ambitions.
Dr. Kisembo has announced that he will seek the ruling party’s endorsement for EALA, but his consistent public engagement with national and regional leadership suggests an active campaign ahead.
