Dr. Tendo Ronex Kisembo Hails Museveni as "Senior Grandfather of Africa" for Peace in South Sudan, Congo, Somalia

KAMPALA – As Uganda prepares to swear in President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on May 12, 2026, East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) aspirant Dr. Tendo Ronex Kisembo is calling on all Ugandans to show love and turn up in large numbers at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds to witness the historic event.

Dr. Kisembo, who is eyeing a seat at the East African Legislative Assembly, described President Museveni not merely as a leader but as a grandfather figure – "Hakka" – for both Uganda and the wider East African region.

"President Museveni is not only the grandfather for Uganda but for East Africa as a whole," Dr. Kisembo said.

According to Dr. Kisembo, Museveni has played a monumental role in securing peace not only within Uganda but also in neighbouring countries that have suffered protracted conflicts.

He specifically credited the President for his involvement in stabilizing South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Somalia, and several other African nations.

"Because he is a senior grandfather for Africa, President Museveni has ensured that peace is available in Uganda and neighboring countries like South Sudan, Congo, Somalia, and many other African countries," Dr. Kisembo stated.

The EALA aspirant urged all Ugandans who consider Museveni their "Jajja" (grandfather) to attend the swearing-in ceremony in person as a show of respect, love, and appreciation for the President's decades of leadership.

"Go and witness Jajja's swearing-in ceremony at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds," he appealed.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, who has led Uganda since 1986, is set to be sworn in for another term on May 12, 2026. The ceremony at Kololo Independence Grounds is expected to draw thousands of supporters, regional dignitaries, and international guests.

Dr. Tendo Ronex Kisembo, a senior politician, is among those seeking to represent Uganda at the East African Legislative Assembly in Arusha, where he hopes to push for deeper regional integration and continued peace initiatives.
