“Hard Work Becomes a Labor of Love”: Dr. Tendo Kisembo Cites Passion as Fuel for EALA Bid

Dr. Tendo Ronex Kisembo, an aspiring candidate for the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA), has called on East Africans—especially the youth—to embrace passion-driven leadership and champion the urgent cause of full regional integration and political federation.

In a stirring address shared with comrades and supporters, Kisembo drew on motivational philosophy and historical precedent to make his case.

Quoting Simon Sinek, E. M. Forster, and Steve Pavlina, the aspirant argued that hard work becomes meaningful only when rooted in love and purpose. “Passionate hearts committed to a shared vision can indeed accomplish the seemingly impossible,” he said.

Kisembo then turned to Uganda’s liberation history, pointing to President Yoweri Museveni’s NRA struggle as a cardinal example. “That should be our True North when pursuing the Jumuiya Dream,” he stated, adding the rallying cry: #TukiamuaInawezakana (“If we decide, it is possible”).

He emphasized that in a highly competitive and unforgiving world, East Africans have no choice but to unite. “Kazi kwetu kama vijana kuungana na wazee wetu kudai mtangamano wetu” (It is our duty as youth to join our elders and demand our unity).

Kisembo declared that aspiring leaders must be the vanguards of the EAC cause, as full integration “guarantees our survival.”

His message positions passion, intergenerational collaboration, and political federation at the heart of his EALA bid.
