Not Just Campaigning: Oyam MP Santa Alum Ogwang Greeted by Grateful Voters in Iceme Sub-County
I Will Vote Eddy Morrish Ogweng For MP Lira City West 2026-2031

OYAM, UGANDA – The campaign trail for Oyam District Woman Member of Parliament, Santa Alum Ogwang, transformed into a moving display of gratitude on Tuesday as she was met with overwhelming praise and tangible tokens of appreciation from voters in Iceme Sub-County.

Touring the parishes of Aloni, Angom, Dele, and Bedogulu, the MP, often known as Alum Santa, encountered supporters who cited her clear accountability and hard work as reasons for their steadfast backing, turning her political rallies into testimonials of her impact.

The most poignant moments came in Angom. Two Senior One students, part of a group of eleven girls Alum Santa sponsors at Iceme Town Seeds Secondary School, excitedly presented their academic reports to her. "We had no hope, but Alum Santa saved us," one of the minors, who will enter Senior Two next year, said emotionally.

The gestures of thanks extended beyond words. A young child, aged 8-9, approached the MP and presented her with a chicken. The gift was in direct response to Alum Santa previously providing the child with a school uniform, ensuring her ability to attend classes.

Further underscoring her community-level support, members of the Church of Uganda in Angom parish presented the legislator with a goat. The donation was a token of thanks for her assistance during the construction of their church building.

Addressing the gathered crowds, Alum Santa Ogwang confidently pointed to her record. She declared herself the best MP in Uganda in terms of service delivery and highlighted her active vocal presence in Parliament.

"Groups, churches, and many others still remain my priority," she stated, urging constituents to send her back to Parliament. Positioning herself as Oyam's indispensable advocate, she cited her firm stand in passing the Anti-Homosexuality Bill as evidence of her ability to speak decisively for their values in the national arena.

"It is high time for the people of Oyam to send me back," Alum Santa concluded, framing the upcoming election as a choice to continue a proven track record of direct community support and unwavering representation.
