RUBIRIZI, UGANDA – The Minister of State for Economic Monitoring in the Office of the President of Uganda Hon. Santa Sandra Alum Ogwang, representing the Minister for Presidency, Hon. Babirye Milly Babalanda, was today the Chief Guest at the official launch of a one-week medical camp in Rubirizi District.
The camp, implemented by the Office of the President in coordination with the Lions Club of Rubirizi, is aimed at improving access to healthcare for residents of the district through free medical services.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Ogwang commended the organizers for their dedication to community health, with special recognition for Vincent B. Tumusiime, whom she credited for spearheading the initiative.
"I thank the organizers of this medical camp, especially Vincent B. Tumusiime, for organising this event aimed at improving the health of the community in Rubirizi District," she said.
She reiterated the Office of the President's commitment to supporting initiatives that directly benefit local communities and urged residents to take full advantage of the services offered during the camp.
The medical camp is expected to serve hundreds of residents over the course of the week, offering a range of health services at no cost.
