EALA Race: ‘Muzzukulu’ Dr. Ronex Kisembo Tendo seeks Museveni’s nod to fly East African flag high

Adjumani & Kampala – Momentum is rapidly building behind Dr. Ronex Kisembo Tendo as the race for Uganda’s slot in the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) intensifies, with the seasoned Pan-Africanist declaring that his primary mission in Arusha will be to “popularise the East African flag” as a tool for regional integration.

Seeking the highest political endorsement from H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the NRM hierarchy, Dr. Tendo has unveiled a vision that transcends traditional legislative duties ensuring the Community’s emblem becomes a common sight alongside national symbols across Uganda and the region. “I will wave the East African flag high,” he stated. “For East Africans to truly integrate, they must see themselves as one people.”

In a unique show of grassroots support, students of Mother Teresa School in Adjumani have penned a passionate appeal to the President, urging him to endorse the “Muzzukulu” of the Luwero Triangle. The students argue that sending a leader fluent in Kinyarwanda, Kiswahili, and French is an investment in the youth. With President Museveni currently holding the EAC Chairmanship (2026-2027), supporters insist Uganda cannot afford to send a novice to Arusha.
