Brussels, Belgium – The Chief Executive Officer of the Africa Mashariki Fest today arrived in Brussels from Paris for a series of high-level diplomatic engagements aimed at bolstering East African Community (EAC) integration and partnerships with the European Union.
Upon arrival, the CEO held an audience with H.E. Hon. Joash Maangi, the Kenyan Ambassador to Belgium and Permanent Representative to the EU Commission .

Following the meeting, Ambassador Maangi accompanied the CEO to pay a courtesy call on Uganda’s Ambassador to Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Permanent Representative to the EU, H.E. Mirjam Blaak Sow, at the Uganda Embassy in Brussels .
During the meeting, the CEO presented Ambassador Blaak Sow with a copy of the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere and Silver Jubilee Anniversary Publication. The commemorative book features a foreword written by H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of Uganda, and includes a tribute message from Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Uganda's Chief of Defence Forces .
Discussions centered on strengthening EAC regional aspirations and deepening partnerships with the European Union—a relationship underscored by recent EU-EAC cooperation projects worth €8 million to enhance trade and regional integration . The CEO expressed profound gratitude for the Ambassador's warm reception and the insightful deliberations.
