I Will Vote Eddy Morrish Ogweng For MP Lira City West 2026-2031

LIRA CITY, UGANDA — Beb Wine Company Ltd has once again been recognized as the best alcoholic fermented beverage brand in Uganda, securing the 2026 People’s Quality Choice Award. This marks the third consecutive year the Lira-based manufacturer has received the prestigious accolade, solidifying its dominance in the sector.

Jimmy Alex Okello, the company’s General Manager, announced that Beb Wine will officially receive the award during a ceremony scheduled for November 17, 2026, at the Imperial Royal Hotel in Kampala.

The award follows an annual survey conducted by 10 GSI Ltd, which assesses consumers’ opinions, perceptions, and expectations regarding products and services. Beb Wine has held the title since 2024.

Speaking at a press briefing on Friday, September 11, at A-Z Hotel in Lira City, Biron Moro Otimkica, the company’s Sales and Marketing Manager, revealed that Beb Wine now commands approximately 80% of the wine market in Northern Uganda.

Otimkica attributed the brand's success to strict quality control, noting that all products are certified by the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS), assuring consumers of their quality, safety, and consistency. He added that the latest award has significantly boosted the company’s sales and marketing drive, with management now targeting double-digit growth in sales and production volumes.

“We are seeking to expand into other parts of Uganda and deepen our presence in the wider East African market,” Otimkica stated.

Sam Brunos Aliga, Chairperson of the Beb Wine Company Ltd Awards 2026 committee, emphasized that the People’s Choice Award is unique because it is based on direct votes from consumers who selected the company’s products for their quality, taste, and freshness. He noted that Beb Wine products have expanded beyond Uganda into neighboring countries, including South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, and Tanzania. Aliga also commended the media for its role in supporting and promoting the awards.

The company’s impact on the local economy was also highlighted by Ben Boniface Olanya, Secretary for Finance, Planning and Economic Development in Lira City West Division. Olanya praised Beb Wine for its contribution to local development, revealing that the company employs more than 500 permanent and casual workers while maintaining a strong record of tax compliance.

“Beb Wine’s repeated award wins have enhanced Lira’s profile,” Olanya said. He urged the company to consider establishing another factory in Lira City West, noting that land is available for expansion.

Beb Wine Company’s factory is located at Bar-Onger Go-down in the Railways industrial area of Lira City East Division. The company manufactures Beb Mixed Alcoholic Fermented, Beb Big Men, and Beb Alcoholic Fermented beverages under the slogan “A Taste of Memory” and operates more than 10 branches across the country.
