Ngai SS – Legacy College Apac have announced themselves as serious title contenders at the ongoing USSSA boys’ football games, after dismantling two bitter rivals in emphatic fashion at Ngai SS.
The Apac-based side first edged Loro SS in a tense 2-1 encounter before returning to thrash Agwata SS 2-0, collecting a maximum six points from their opening two fixtures.
The victories were particularly sweet as they came against teams Legacy College Apac consider traditional rivals. The performances on the pitch have matched the pre-tournament promise made by head coach Felix Obote.
Speaking yesterday before the matches kicked off, Obote had guaranteed strong results—and his boys have delivered.
However, the experienced coach was quick to warn against overconfidence.
“We will not relax because of this win,” Obote stated after the Agwata victory. “We will put more focus on the games ahead of us.”
With six points already in the bag, Legacy College Apac are firmly in the hunt for the title. According to Obote, the team is now fully focused on their remaining group matches as they “eye being crowned champions.”
The USSSA boys’ football games continue at Ngai SS, with Legacy College Apac expected to return to action later this week.
